Seeking a progressive and dynamic Manager to join the Revenue Managment Team

Role:

To optimise supply of inventory from all sources, supporting maximum utilisation, maximising efficient use of acquired inventory for exchange and rental by ensuring best price and distribution channel.

To determine the optimal mix of sales and execute strategies to achieve the ideal mix of business through pricing, inventory management and distribution strategies across all revenue channels with the goal of achieving budget, gaining market share and improving profitability.

Provide the business with effective analysis & insight on trends, inventory usage and yield to support key stakeholders including Operations, Marketing and Finance.

Drive the merchandising strategy in partnership with Revenue Management, Marketing, Business Development and Operations.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the Inventory Management &  Pricing team
    • Manage, motivate and support all direct reports
    • Provide on-going day to day support and direction to the team
    • Ensure the correct checks and controls are in place to ensure inventory rules are fair, consistent and adhered to.
    • Team coaching and development, performance management, recruitment etc.
    • Continuous review of tasks and responsibilities within the team, making recommendations to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team where possible
    • Deliver a ‘best in class’ service to support key stakeholders
  • Develop & implement the strategic plan for the team with on-going review to include setting the strategy for mitigating utilisation risks.
  • Review analysis and actions taken by the team to ensure effective delivery of inventory management and pricing objectives and championing solutions to issues and risks.
  • To ensure that accurate, timely and meaningful analysis and insight is provided to the business to drive action and enhance the forecasting process in order to achieve business goals.
  • Lead the Merchandising meetings with Marketing to ensure effective usage of inventory, ensuring promotions happen at the right time and at the right price
  • Maintain a strong, trusting working relationship with the Commercial & Sourcing Team, Global RM colleagues, Marketing, Operations and Finance.
  • On-going focus on process improvement, eliminating manual tasks wherever possible
  • Involvement in global initiatives/projects as required.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • 5+ years experience in a Revenue Management or commercial role within the travel/leisure sector
  • Experience of working in a cross functional role
  • Goal orientated approach and ability to drive results
  • Flexible with a sense of urgency
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills, preferably with SAS/SQL/Power BI knowledge
  • Strategic thinker
  • Highly detailed orientated
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to build & maintain strong, trusting working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills through to Executive level
  • Effective influencing skills to engage cross functional resources

The role will be based at their HO in Kettering where the team works on a hybrid pattern of 2 days office / 3 days remote
