IT SUPPORT – Market Harborough

If you are to believe the cliché, working in IT is all about turning computers on and off and keeping people waiting on the phone. But it’s so much more than that, we promise!

So, if friends and family go to you when they’re having trouble with technology and if you’re a logical person with excellent problem-solving skills, then you may be the perfect candidate for working in technical support. In addition you will ideally have a number of years relevant work-based experience and have knowledge of a variety of systems.

You’ll be part of the IT crowd and be monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks for a growing client base.

The role is open to being part or full-time, either way absolute dedication is required! Our client is a small business and a close-knit team so communication skills are vital as is the ability to be flexible…. there may be things outside of the job description that need addressing as is often the nature of a small company.  

You’ll be at the very busy front-line, dealing directly with customers who have technical issues such as forgotten passwords, viruses or email issues. Tasks may include:

  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
  • Logging customer queries
  • Analysing call logs to spot trends and underlying issues


For the most part this will be office based and you will support remotely, beautiful location too in a converted barn with countryside views, but may also entail on-site visits. A driving licence and own car is imperative!

This role has arisen due to the increasing volume of work and expansion of the company. With your help it could grow even more.
